What a success CISV Week has been! Over 1,300 people attended the CISV Week event on Facebook, along with tons of pictures posted on Instagram, and tweets about what everyone all over the world has been up to for CISV Week. You can search up some cool CISV Week related tweets under the hashtag #CISVWeek on Twitter or Instagram or by following the CISV Week twitter page. There are some really inspirational quotes, memories, stories and pictures that JBers from all around the world have posted, so go check them out!
On the other hand, we thought it would be nice to update everyone on JB Canada. JB Canada is doing awesome, in case you were wondering. The Eh Team especially is particularly proud with so much we have accomplished this year! The JBDC along with their LJBDCC's have come out with an amazing story book, that has become a great fundraiser for JB Canada. National Camp was held in Toronto this year, and was a great success, with a great turnout and some really meaningful activities were run. The NJRs have done more than we can comprehend, by attending AJB, IJBC and AIM all in Salvador, Brazil this past summer, and then going on to staff National Camp. The Commsquad has been doing a pretty swell job (I'd say), with keeping the blog up to date, sending out regular emails, and keeping in contact with the IJB team. And finally, the most important piece to the JB Canada puzzle, the LJRs! They have all been outstanding this year. Each chapter in Canada has held some great activities, including cookie-a-thons, mini camps, 14+ events, chapter fundraisers, silent auctions, and many more exciting and unique ones that always blow our minds.
As the year is coming to a close, with NJBM looming over our heads, the Commsquad can definitely agree, that on behalf of the Eh Team, this year has been a great success! CISV Canada continues to grow, and it could not have been done without all the active JB members throughout Canada!
So, thank YOU JB Canada, for an amazing-fantastic-awesome-crazy 2012-2013 year, and we hope to see all your lovely faces at NJBM from November 8th-11th in Ottawa!
As always, if you have any questions, let us know and we'd be happy to help anyone and everyone!

CISV Week Day 7: Victoria is so Great we are Talking About Them Again
As we mentioned in the last post about Victoria, they have also completed the 5 out of 7 activities this year!
Along with their sock drive, Victoria also had a chapter wide meeting with 64 participants (WOW!), where they started off with a potluck, and finished off with some great team building activities involving both the adults and the JB.
In April, Victoria held a chilli dinner and silent auction. The steering committee was in charge of finding donations and entertainment, setting up the venue, and served food and washed dishes. Adults payed to come eat an awesome meal and socialize, while bidding on some great items. Their goal was to raise $5000 and they exceeded it! Way to go Victoria!

Next up, they held a chapter wide activity, where they ran the Right On activity, and had a guest author come in to do a talk to the chapter. They had almost 50 participants in attendance for this event! Waterloo also held their annual cookie-a-thon, where they baked 1300 (WOAH) cookies, and pledged over $1,500. CISV Week Day 4: An update from Victoria
JB Victoria held some awesome events this year, and also completed the 5 out of 7 activity challenge from last NJBM.
First off they did a mosaic activity where All JBers (64 in attendance) brought in warm socks and items (ex. shampoo, toothpaste, 5$ coffee card etc.) to donate to the Christmas Spirit Community Dinner, where they give the filled socks out to all their adult guests. They collected enough items to fill over 50 socks with toiletry items! It was a great success.

CISV Week Day 3: Toronto Time
On the weekend of Oct. 4-6, CISV Toronto had their annual fall mini-camp at country side day camp, just outside of Toronto. With a total of 40 participants, they had an excellent time. The JB exec did an excellent job planning some fun activities for all the participants to enjoy. They did an activity that showed the problems with drugs, made their own placemats and held both a talent show and a dance party on the Saturday evening. They even had a participant from cisv Ottawa come!! It was a great weekend and everyone had a fabulous time!

CISV Week Day 2: Halifax time
Halifax held some awesome activities this past year, and got 5 out of the 7 recommended activities completed! Way to go Halifax!
They started off with a cookie-a-thon which they held at a local church. They baked 1152 cookies in one night which they then donated to the church, and 31 kids attended.
They also held a fundraiser at a local movie theater, and had an awesome turnout of over 130 people! They watched the movie Revolution, and split all of the profits with the adult board.
Halifax held a great mini camp as well, with 32 participants. It's theme was movies, and some fun activities were played, and turned out to be the best planned mini camp yet.
Their welcome back picnic was held directly after the mini camp with 70 people coming out for it, parents and kids alike. Everyone shared their experiences from the summer.
Finally, they held a 14+ sleepover at one of the JB members houses. They had some cool activities, and encouraged new members to join the board.
All in all, Halifax had a stellar 2012-2013 year, and we are so happy you guys completed the 5 of 7 activities! We look forward to seeing what this next year holds for you :)

CISV Week Day 1: An Update from Ottawa!
WINTER CAMP! It's what Ottawa is known for! In the middle of the winter at an outdoor educational centre Ottawa had about 35 participants (with about 4 adults) from Ottawa, Toronto, London, Waterloo, and Montreal coming for 5 days with about 5ft. of snow! This was also their 14+ activity as well as the regional activity so the planned activities were quite good. One memorable one was about disabilities where they played sardines in the the dark in partners and one was blind while the other was mute. That activity brought a good debrief. They all had a fantastic time and we can't wait until this January (spread the word!)
Here are some photos from wintercamp!
